About the Show:

"Rewind: Decades Dance Party" is a high-energy live stage show that celebrates the greatest hits from the 1950s to 2010s. Led by our experienced directors, Suzy Cropper, Bryce Cropper, and Matt Cropper, this show promises to take you on a thrilling journey through the evolution of music and dance.

Performance Dates:

Mark your calendars for May 17th and May 18th, when our performers will light up the stage with their passion, energy, and incredible talent!

Rehearsal Details:

Rehearsals will take place every Friday, from March 15th through May 10th. Grades 6-8 will rehearse from 5 PM to 7 PM, while grades 9-12 will rehearse from 7 PM to 10 PM at a dance studio in East Murray. (Specific location details will be given after registration.) Please plan to wear comfortable clothes and shoes appropriate for dance rehearsal. Bring a water bottle.

Meet the Directors

  • Suzy Cropper

    Originally from Citrus Heights, California, Suzy performed with Galena as a teen. She has sung the national anthem at NBA games and won first place in the California State Talent competition. Suzy was a member of the BYU Young Ambassadors and has performed throughout the US including Hawaii, and in Mexico, Spain, Morocco, and Tunisia. She also performed in the Main Stage Show at Lagoon and at Opryland’s Fiesta Texas Park in “Head for the Hills.” Suzy has worked as a professional studio vocalist, and is currently a member of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square.

    Suzy was the founder and director of Main Stage Academy (Windham, Maine) for 8 years, a musical theatre training center for young performers, where she taught and led students on performing tours to Boston, New York City, and Florida. She loves working with young people and has been the music director and/or director of multiple community and school productions including Mary Poppins, Frozen, Singin’ in the Rain, Shrek, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Into the Woods, Annie, Aladdin, and Snow White.

    Suzy has been a private vocal instructor for over 25 years, and has taught hundreds of students, including those who have performed in lead roles on Broadway and in touring casts. Suzy studied voice with Jimmy Arnold (The Four Lads), Iliana Pietralunga, Gayle Lockwood, Randy Booth, and Matt Bean. She has a BFA degree in Music, Dance, Theatre from BYU and a Master’s Certificate in Vocology from Lamar University.

    Suzy and Bryce are the parents of 5 children and recently relocated to Utah after living in Maine for 20 years. Besides being a Broadway nerd, Suzy loves chocolate, smelling flowers, jet skiing, and Disney magic.

  • Bryce Cropper

    Bryce grew up in Utah and participated as a performer in many local theatre productions at Pioneer Theatre Company, Kingsbury Hall, Promised Valley Playhouse, Scera Outdoor Theatre, and others. Theatre credits include The Sound of Music, Evita, Babes in Toyland, The Music Man, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, SideShow West Side Story, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Gift of Christmas and the touring cast of Celebrating the Light.

    Bryce was a performer in the Main Stage show at Lagoon for two summers and a member of the BYU Young Ambassadors performing in Northern Europe. Bryce has worked with directors such as: Randy Boothe, David Tinney, Michael McClean, Kevin Hauge, Mark Huffman, Jenny Jordan, Syd Riggs, Jan Sullivan, Jann McCardell, Kim Clayton, Rosalyn Korany, and Danny Thompson. With his wife, Bryce was a co-founder of Main Stage Academy in Maine.

    Professionally, Bryce Cropper has practiced audiology for over 20 years. Bryce served a mission in France and loves to ski, travel, and play games with his family.

  • Matt Cropper

    Matt began his singing career when he was 5 and has been involved in music ever since, performing literally thousands of times on stage and in the recording studio. Growing up, Matt performed throughout the western United States, California, Florida, Japan, Hong Kong, and China. His Musical Theater credits include Hale Center Theater, Promised Valley Playhouse, the Scera Shell, Draper Theater, and Murray Amphitheater. Musicals include The Gift of Christmas, West Side Story, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls, and April Ann.

    Matt performed for two summers at Lagoon Park, one in the Signature Main Stage show and one in the Wild West Show and as part of an a cappella quartet. Matt has worked with such directors as Randy Booth, David Tinney, Jenny Jordan, Ken Plain, Kim Clayton, Jann McCardell, and others.

    For over 20 years, Matt has been directing and singing with Octappella, a contemporary a cappella vocal band that has performed hundreds of times for corporate, community, and charitable events (including all 17 days of the 2002 Winter Olympics). Octappella (www.octappella.com) has recorded 4 albums, which Matt produced and for which he did most of the arranging.

    Matt works as a professional recording engineer working in the studio and in live performance with such musicians as Lea Salonga, Imagine Dragons, Jenny Oaks Baker, John Schmidt, Ryan Shupe, Kenneth Cope, Greg Hansen, Billy Dean, Marvin Goldstein, Carmen Rasmussen, Cherie Call, Clive Romney, Mike Dowdle, Dean Kaelin, Mindy Gledhill, and a long list of corporate clients including Disney, Adobe, NBC, CBS, Usana, and Microsoft

    Matt has sung lead and background vocals for several albums. He also plays the piano and enjoys composing and arranging. One of his original songs has over 52 million views on Youtube! Matt has 2 degrees from the University of Utah (Go Utes!). He served a mission to Sweden and loves spending time with his four children, playing soccer, and dreaming about growing 8 inches so he can play basketball with the big boys.
